“Travels with a Biro”

Yesterday a little girl came up to me, here at our property – she is staying with her dad in one of our cottages – and asked me if I would draw her “un cheval a l’arc-en-ciel”.  A rainbow horse.  WHAT is a rainbow horse ?   I only had a few moments to spare so I quickly scribbled this out for her, sloshed a bit of paint over it and handed it to her.  She looked at it dubiously for some time and then said (but in French, of course) “It’s not what I had in mind, Madame, but it’ll do for now …”
