The other day somebody asked me why the property is called Les Cypres in my book, when its real name is Rochebonne.

The reason is quite simple – I didn’t want people to read my book (A Call from France) and then come to France to explore and see if they could find it !  As the property is let most of the year to holiday makers, that could be a real nuisance.

Why Les Cypres ?  I suppose because there are Cyprus trees along the drive. Or it may be because we toyed with buying a small place in Cyprus for several years – and decided against it, thank goodness.
